I'm sure you want to look "cool" when mowing but, think about the rest of the week when the mowing is done. Having cuts and bruises all over your legs from wearing shorts is not good looking. Wear long pants. That eye patch may make you look like a star from Pirates of the Caribean but cuts down on being able to scope out all the "pretty" views. Wear sunglasses. Green "tennies" are not cool unless they are the same green from front to back. Wear work boots. Last, but not least, you won't have to cringe when "sweet thing" hugs you if you wear a shirt and prevent getting sunburnt.

Wear jeans and basketball shoes for your own protection. Stones, twigs, etc. will fly up and hit your legs and jeans are the best protection. Forget about sandals. Start off with a long sleeve cotton shirt early in the season while it's still cool, then move to a short sleave shirt, then a wife beater, then shirtless as the season gets hotter. Cutting grass is a good-paying job in the great outdoors regardless of any side benefits. A bandana is far better headgear than anything else. And always remember to use SPF 15+. You'll still tan, but it will be a mellow good-looking tan.

Well - from alot of experience - I do not like to wear a swimming suit because with wind and sweat everything sticks to you - grass, dirt etc. Also - I've had things - twigs, pieces of sharp plastic fly at me and if you wear long pants and shirts you have less chance of hurting yourself. Of course - if you want a great tan - take your chances and just wear the shorts! I would suggest wearing shoes though - that's a must. Happy mowing! If you need some funny mowing stories - I've got plenty!

Definitely wear sneakers or close toed shoes so your feet don't turn green or get cut off by the mower. If the grass is wet or you are sweating a lot it can also stick to your legs or turn them a bit green so pants are also suggested. From there on up is up to you though depending on how tan/burnt you want to get in the sun.

Try to look a little professional, a bandana rolled and tied on your forhead will keep the sweat out of your eyes, long pants will keep junk from tearing up your legs, bug spray would help, good deodorant, and a smile. Take some gator ade with you and water to wet your bandana, it will keep you cooler.
It cost me $1,780. to get my shin fixed from a piece of rib bone that flew out of the back of the mower and shaved the shin bone on my leg---takes a bunch of profit off of the top.

even with your little ones and toned physique please positioned on a shirt. a guy mowing a backyard with out shirt purely comes off like trash no count what the bod. great tight white t-shirt remains stylish yet appealing. And positioned on denims. Hopping around the backyard screaming after a rock hits your shin purely isn't appealing.

a lot depends on how your skin handles the sun. If you burn easy. cover as much skin as possible.

and don't wear yellow!!! It attracts bees.

and if you are dressing to impress the girls driving by.....mow outside of a bar.

If you're push mowing... please wear steel toed boots! You may not look cool mowing but you'll look less cool missing a couple toes. Just food for thought.

Sombraro, jeans, and a wifebeater. Don't forget the boots.

If that doesn't work get a riding mower and wear a leopard thong like Boomhauer from King of the Hill. Yuuuuuup.

you should not wear clothes while mowing, It will cut down on wash day chores, and you will get to meet the local police and the neighbors will all know who you are. So, it is a win -win for you.
