To what extent had the Progressives in the US achieved their aims by the 1920s?

The main acheivement of the Progressives would have to have been Prohibition. This was one way they could have affected society.

I am not so sure that the Progressives had Prohibition as part of their agenda.

They did go after big business and wanted to bust up monopolies like Standard Oil. Theodore Roosevelt was the most famous Progressive if you want to wikpedia him or the Progressive movement.

I'd say they were successful in limiting the lassiez faire business culture, of breaking up the big monopolies, of securing heath and welfare reform and of pushing for more government involvement in helping the poor and the middle class.
