wake up you're dreaming. People rarely get hired on at McD's as the manager. You start out as crew and then if you're lucky after years of grueling work you MIGHT be promoted to crew leader. The only people who get management jobs are those who have degrees. And even if you do manage one, it's a far cry from owning your own. It probably costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you would need some kind of money or collateral down.

I'm not sure if you've already seen this, but check out http://www.mcdonalds.com/corp/franchise/franchisinghome.html in case you haven't. You may not need to be employed by McDonald's in order to be eligible to buy a franchise, though the experience would probably help you once you buy it. If the McDonald's franchise page doesn't answer your questions, maybe you should talk to some local franchise owners in your town. Hopefully, some owners & operators will see your question here and help you out. Good luck.

I also want to say that my brother in law managed a McDonald's, and he doesn't have a college degree. He simply proved his worthiness. I think you should go for your dream since McDonald's does a hell of a lot of business. I've never seen one close down, and local O&Os here are living very well. Go for it!

You will need a minimum of $200,000 in unborrowed resources. That means you need that in your hand.

Develop a realistic business plan with realistic details.

Work your way up to a manager of a fast-food restaurant first. Save all your money along the way.

Keep your dreams alive, but when your bank account gets close to $200,000 you can start asking other relevant questions.

Best wishes, and really, keep your dreams alive.

I have frequently been told that the best person to hire is someone who has worked at McDonalds.

Didn't the last CEO start as a busboy at McDonalds.

You will learn a lot from the experience, and if you have a goal you are on your way there.

Good Luck.

Well you do it step by step. Dont let others discourage you.
Worker to shift supervisor to assistant manager to manager.
You save some money, you pay your bills, you get a small business loan and you go for it.

Good luck to you I hope you do it.

you will have more time than you realize to make this happen. From what you say you do not yet have a job so first you got to get in the door and then on and on.
