I like the version by the R&B group the O'Jays...

Stairway To Heaven
by O'Jays
album:
Here we go
Climbing the stairway to heaven
Here we go
Walking the road of ecstasy
Taking the load
Of this whole world off our shoulders
The door is wide open for you
The door is open for me

Here we go
Still in a moment of pleasure
You and I
We are gonna find the pirates treasure
Here we go
Oh baby here we go
Climbing the stairway to heaven
Climbing the stairway to heaven
And we are going step by step
Together
Step by step
climbing the stairway to heaven
Climbing the stairway to heaven
And we are going step by step
Together
Step by step

Put your hand
Lean closer
Don’t you wanna go
Don’t you wanna go
In our own little corner of the world

Stairway to Heaven has only a lot intending to it, and it really is merely so wonderful. also, gained't Get Fooled back is a rocker. i love the Who, notwithstanding the Who won't be able to conquer Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven.

I LOVE Zep. Of course, I'm lucky in that I already knew all of the words of the song before I hit my middle school dances...my father loved their music and raised us listening to them, among others (I'm 25).

Some of my faves:
Stairway to Heaven (who DOESN'T like this?)
Battle of Evermore
Immigrant Song

And I really liked the "The Song Remains the Same" special video/movie (whatever).

I think it's a great rock n roll classic. When I had a guitar it was like the song everyone else that I knew that played wanted to learn, or already knew how to play.

It is such a great song, but it doesn't show Led Zeppelin's true talent, except for the solo
