Yes I do because my presentation is a reflection of me.

Wow! lol. Are you a spelling or grammar teacher by any chance? Or are you just tired of the teeny boppers getting on here and asking dumb questions that no one can even read anyhow due to the terrible spelling! lol. Yes, I click it even though I do pretty good. Heck, its there for a purpose is it not??

I edit for typos as well as spell check if I am unsure of the spelling of a word. Mostly I am a very bad typist and have to edit every post. The backspace key is the most used on my keyboard.

Depends, I have to say I am guilty of getting excited about a question or laughing so hard that I dont. P&S is a relaxed environment anyway, so I dont feel as though I'd be massacred for a little typo. Sometimes when questions or answers are strewn with typos it gets annoyingly hard to read, though.
I usually do proofread my question/answer first before submitting it, though.

I'm pretty good at spelling but sometimes I draw a blank and can use a little help so I quite often use it.

I just don't think people care. Some people even think it's cute! Bad grammar is a huge turn off to me.
I do care, though...and I'm glad that you do, too.

I think most people do it because they feel that it is just cooler to do stuff like ppl instead of people. It is more of a peer pressure thing or people use it for shortcuts or meanings! Glad I could help! :)

Ah yes young chap, I find it horribly discerning when trite young ones tend to take no respect in their grammar, what a crying shame I dare say.

I don't need to. I am a good speller. But I don't put others down if they don't spell well.
