No. Easter is based on the Pagan tradition of Ostara (thus the bunnies and eggs that have little or nothing to do with Jesus Christ), and is celebrated in nearly all Christian countries. Where pagans are still afoot, they celebrate Ostara (or did-it is the first day of spring, already past this year).
Blessings and Happy Holiday, whatever you call it!

Celebration of the pagan goddess of fertility Ishtar or Istarte was observed long before there was an American USA. Actually the practice preceeded the lifetime of Jesus Christ, Himself.
The practice of this particular apostate paganism brought into early Christianity in the second century and later adopted and exploited by the Church of Rome is historically well documented, but generally ignored because to the desire to maintain the dominance of the Catholic religion over nominal Christianity including the later Protestant spin-offs which are yet Catholic in practice, but do not realize it.
There is no biblical evidence that Christ was resurrected from the dead on Sunday, only that the discovery of His resurrecton was made by his disciples early Sunday morning. This was before dawn, about twelve hours after the actual resurrection near sundown on the Sabbath.
Easter sunrise services are an ancient religious fraud.
