I believe the Speaker of the U.S. House of Represenatives is abusing her powers. Does this women actually think by passing some reputed note from the Israeli Government will bring peace to the Middle East. The governments over there have played several past U.S. Presidents without ever having any real intentions of allowing a peace agreement to take hold. The only thing missing from this scenario is Rev. Jesse and Rev. Al, and this charade would be complete!

This is outrageous . No member of the United States House or Senate has the right to circumvent official U.S. foreign Policy without permission from the State Department !!
It's more than just wasting tax dollars . That's a small issue compared to National Security and the subversion of such .

And on top of it all. . . she was played like a fiddle by Asaad !!

And then to put the cherry on top of a disgusting situation. . . .she misrepresented Israel's statements and received an immediate rebuke from the Israelis for doing so .

It seems you have forgotten your civics class. We have separate BUT EQUAL branches of government.
If it means that someone will start a dialogue well good for her. The Bush high school clique mentality crap of " you can't talk to that person" has not worked.
Diplomacy worked for the Brits in freeing the 15 soldiers, the jack boot approach that would have been taken by the President would not have. It would have lit the match to the already smoldering powder keg that is the Middle East.
You are also a stinking hypocrite along with this President.
He did not open his piehole when the 3 REPUBLICANS, Frank Wolf of Virginia, Joseph Pitts of Pennsylvania and Robert Aderholt of Alabama, went to Syria last week and met with Assad yet he is raising a stink because the Democrat and a woman no less went. Syria said they wanted to talk to Israel, Israel wanted to do the same. Pelosi tried to facilitate the start of dialogue.
Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said Pelosi went because it was recommended by the Iraq Study Group. In a statement, he said she intended to discuss "a wide range of security issues affecting the United States."
Pelosi said she had no illusions about convincing the Syrians to reign in support for Hezbollah militants in Lebanon or Hamas in the Palestinian territories.

WE are the ones who don't live there and don't give a rat's patootie on how the people who live there survive and under what conditions, yet we want to dictate who they speak to. Bush needs to grow up.

All you may desire to do is tell them they're being attacked and denounce the pacifists for loss of patriotism, and exposing the rustic to larger threat”. "in case you tell a lie sufficiently huge and shop repeating it, people will finally come to have self belief it. The lie could be maintained in common terms for such time because of the fact the State can shield the persons from the political, financial, and/or militia outcomes of the lie. It for this reason will become extremely important for the state to apply all of its powers to repress dissent, for the actuality is the mortal enemy of the lie, and for this reason via extension, the actuality is the ideal enemy of the State." __Josef Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda

Do you have video or pictorial evidence of Nancy used as a "patsy" (whatever that is) by Assad?

And how is she abusing power when other Republicans are there too?

Your post reeks of sexism; you are not keen to have the 1st woman Speaker of the House doing her job. She could have stayed at home and enjoy the privileges and perks.
Going to Syria is no walk in the park.

Nancy is a woman.
Hear her roar!

She's just an idiot wasting time and tax dollars. Apparently she failed history in high school bacause the purpose of learning about history is so we don't make the same mistakes twice. they have never listened to US presidents, what makes her think they will listen to her? the fact that she is a woman in a Muslim dominated area doesn't help. all i have to say is let's hope bush and cheney don't die
