Its very likely since all of our jobs are going there and to India. They people here, who used to do those jobs are still here - and unemployed or can't find a job. People don't evaporate when they lose their jobs - they are still here but now forced to go on unemployment. They don't want to be a burden on society - but what are they supposed to do if there aren't anymore jobs that they can do because we sent those jobs overseas so that Corporations can save money?

If we put a salary limit on how much these senior corporate officers earn - the money saved could go towards creating more jobs!

Nope. Poverty exists in all societies. I have seen people eating out of garbage cans in Canada, South America, Sweden, UK, France, Russia and every other country I have been to. I was recently in China and saw plenty of heartbreaking, soul-destroying poverty there.

I'm not sure I understand your question. I guess your premise is that a "Superpower" cannot have poverty - but you say China is ahead of us as a "Superpower." China is far poorer than the U.S.

The war in Iraq already did that. We used to be the head of the UN and could basically get the world to follow us wherever we went. Now, since we started this pointless war, the world has turned its back on us and they are now ready to de-throne us as the World Leaders.

Every other war is about religion, or money, or resources. This war was built on false pretenses and the only end is for the US to be destroyed or the Muslims to be destroyed.

China is positioned as the world leader today. Most of the world has few problems with China. Notice how they do a good job of staying out of the news?

Poverty is to a nation's status as "superpower" as the color of your rosebush is to the horsepower of your car.
