ionic bonds are formed when one atom gives away electrons to another atom. The atoms become charged ions and the charges attract the ions together in the bond. An ionic bond is always between a metal and a nonmetal.

covalent bonds form when two nonmetals share electrons with each other. No electrons are given away, they are orbiting around both of the nuclei.

Hydrogen bonds form when the hydrogen end of one molecule is attracted to the partially negative end of a different molecule. It is not a true bond but is just a slight attraction for the other molecule.

Ionic bonds are a type of chemical bond based on electrostatic forces between two oppositely-charged ions.

Covalent bonding is a form of chemical bonding that is characterized by the sharing of pairs of electrons between atoms.

A hydrogen bond is a special type of attractive interaction (perhaps a variation of a dipole-dipole bond) that exists between an electronegative atom and a hydrogen atom bonded to another electronegative atom.
