Not usually.
Our pediatrician says that almost all red bumps on a baby's face are more likely due to sensitive skin and irritation than to allergy.
A rash due to allergy will be itchy raised red weals, not individual little red bumps.

Sounds like either baby acne, which will go away on it's own, just don't put a lot of baby lotions on his face.Or it could be eczema. You can try Eucerine calming lotion, of 1% hydro cortisone cream (Aveeno Brand is good) and apply it to the affected area 2 times day, make sure not to get it in his eyes or mouth. Also, you don't need to use soap every time you give him a bath, baby soap is so drying for their skin but I would recommend Dove for sensitive skin, you just have to be careful not to get it in his eyes. I hope this helps. Good luck to you and God bless!

Probably. But it could be chicken pox or even Fifth Disease.
Fifth disease (also called erythema infectiosum) is caused by parvovirus B19. A human virus, parvovirus B19 is not the same parvovirus that veterinarians may be concerned about in pets, especially dogs, and it cannot be passed from humans to animals or vice versa.
Better be careful and call the doctor in the morning. Take the baby's temperature. If it is elevated don't wait until morning. And be especially careful if you notice labored breathing. In that case, get to the ER.

My son has the same thing. We just saw his pediatrician yesterday. She said that if it lasts for a long time (days, as opposed to minutes or hours), then it's eczema and can be treated with vaseline or aquaphor. If it comes and goes from one minute to the next, then it is hives from allergies and should be treated with medication immediately.

I don't know how old your baby is, however they do get these bumps they are called milk pimples. Very common not to worry they do go away.

Not necessarily. Depending on the age of the baby, it could just be "baby acne". If you have changed formulas or changed from breast to formula feeding then it could be an issue with changing. Unless it spreads or gets worse I wouldn't worry (hard to I know). Good Luck!!

I remember from home ec in junior high that red bumps, or "baby zits" are fairly common and will clear up soon. You should ask your doctor next time you see him/her though.

i don't know. but i would probably get that checked out. or call the nearest hospital. the nurses there can usually give you helpful information. but i wouldn't take any chances at least call the hospital/take him or her there/make a doctors appointment. TAKE ACTION.
