With that in mind try this. ..
I am sure you have babysat before.
So in your neighborhood do a bit of self introduction. Tell them you are doing sitting and here are some references of people I have done babysitting for before.
Here is the key... tell them.. I do a good job and I know you will be happy with me, I will babysit for you the first time for free. I only ask that if I do a good job, that you please recommend me to friends or family.
This will get you jobs :) good luck.

Sometimes parents might be bit causes because of your age ? or inexperience ?
Anyway don't get disappointed if this time fails, try again. If you get some opportunities don't just grab at once. Find weather it is a safe place you to be and weather you can do the job successfully.
** Dont go for those fast & easy money making methods. They all are fraud.
If you have prior experience in baby sitting, note that in your advertisement. It'll improve your chances.

How long ago did you start? Not knowing you, are you old enough? Are you a presentable person? Have you approached anybody directly? . When my kids were little my wife and I never cold called any of the sitter listings posted at the supermarket. We asked our neighbors and people in our community who had kids. With the way the world is today many people will not trust their kids with a stranger. Ask any adults you know if they have any friends looking for a sitter, if you are near a school bus stop go there and introduce yourself. I'd say they best advertising is YOU, go out and meet the people so they see you.
