i want to polish my top and bottom triple tree clamps i do believe they are aluminum and are painted. what would it take to polish them and to remove the paint

You could have them chromed but they'll need to be copper plated first. A good chrome place could tell you if it can be done.
The copper adds to the cost but its the only way to make the chrome "stick" to the metal.

I'm guessing their the same as on my 97 Bandit, I doubt Suzuki changed those the following year.

If you want to just polish them yourself, I would use a water based paint remover and a high speed (30k RPM) dremel. The little polishing wheels should be about to get about anywhere you need to put a high gloss on them. You'll need to use a very mild polishing compound.
