** Go to a museum.
** Have a quiet evening at home and cook dinner together.
** Play board games and drink wine.
** Take a leisurely ride in the country and enjoy the view.
** Make a trip to the grocery store and pick up some creative pizza ingredients. Take your groceries home and assemble your masterpiece pizza together. Choose a CD of music from your youth, light candles and enjoy.

Depends - is it a first date, second, or what.
Sounds like first date ideas.
First date - I try to set up nearly zero cost and all conversation. I want to get to know the girl and by not spending anything or only a little, I find out if she just wants fun on someone else's expense - I'm not interested in gold diggers. I like girls who appreciate it when I go overboard, but don't feel entitled. Ideas: breakfast for diem sum in chinatown (you'l likely be the only non asians), art museum, church service, people watching in a mall, any off-the-wall free seminars/shows: psycology pitch for clients (can be a hoot!), car-show, fashion show, dog-show, people watching - just about anywhere.

If the weather is crummy, go walk and talk at the mall.. even if you hate coffee, you can meet a coffee shop and talk, just don't get the coffee. Meet a library (pick out a movie ahead of time) find out what the person is interested in and joke and laugh...then hang for a movie... or goto blockbuster
or a hot tub... I digress

A movie at home sounded good. But, I mean, she's going to figure it out. That you don' t feel like putting anything into it. Then you'll be stuck with your blow up doll Suzie instead of a flesh and blood person....

A movie at home is always nice. A classic black and white...comedy can be nice...romance can be helpful....old horror movies can be just plain funny.
