It depends on what is going on at home. Do you know all the facts of why he left or might have left? Do they have children and if so are they over the age of 18? My uncle wasn't happy in his marriage but he refused to cheat on his wife or to leave her while the kids were home. He didn't want to drag the girls through a divorce. He stayed and acted like everything was ok even though him and my aunt knew better. The girls turned 18 moved out and my uncle left. So it all depends on what is/was going on.

It could be a lot of reasons for him to leave. 1) home life. 2)relationship with the wife is not what is use to be. 3)something in the marriage just fizzle out (love). 4) he just don't want to be marry any more. etc.

He wasn't as happy as people thought he was..Has anyone asked him if he was happy with his relationship?..or what can be done to make HIM happy?..usually women tend to care only about their needs and not the man's...Marriage is a 2 way street..a man's wants and needs are just as important as a woman's..If more couples understood this SIMPLE philosophy, then we would have happier marriages..

the reason i left after 31 years, was i was not happy and did not have a relationship
everyone has a reason, but i can't tell you what his was
after 36 years if you can't ask him that should be a clue

Because he's a filthy pig and didn't deserve her in the first place.
Don't worry... he'll be lonely and miserable yet. She just needs to look out for number one and do all the things that taking care of his dumb a s s stopped her from doing before.
Good luck to you!
