You can do "anything to the egg" to make it survive a long fall? Get some really thick plastic or rubber foam, like the kind used in furniture, and go make a giant egg sandwich, with 2 huge "loaves of bread" with one egg in the middle. Secure everything as necessary with duct tape. Make sure the egg itself is well anchored to the center of the sandwich, so it doesn't slip out between the loaves. Cut a little pocket for it if you have to, and wrap the egg with a small piece of foam before securing it to the center of the loaves. If big enough, this will probably even survive a 100 story fall, because of the wind resistance.

Here is a good one:

First find out what the height is that you are dropping from.

Let's say that contest is that you must drop your egg 50 feet without breaking.

Take your egg - with absolutely nothing added - and drop it from 52 feet.

even if the egg breaks when it hits the ground, you will have met the conditions for the contest - the first 50 feet, the egg did not break!!!
