How can I reduce the redness and bumps after getting them waxed? I have sensitive skin, and usually they swell afterwords.

Also, whats eyebrow threading? How do they do that? Thanks!

When you get home, take an ice cold wash cloth to your brow for about ten minutes, that will get rid of the redness and swelling. As for the bumps, try a salt scrub. Don't wear eye-makeup for at least 24 hours. that can increase the irritation, so if you have a hot date, get them done two days or the day before the big event.

Threading is using thread to wrap around the brow hairs and pull them out one by one..it hurts a lot worse than tweezing or waxing!

try putting on a neosporin type cream/ointment and using an ice cube or ice pack to reduce the swelling. i have to do that after I have laser treatment done.

if you have sensitive skin, threading is probably not for you. I got very bad acne after I had that done. it reminds me of tweezing. they take a thread and wrap it up some crazy way and it plucks out the hairs. I don't think it lasts as long as waxing, it made me break out and feel like i had a huge rug burn on my face.

also before you have your brows waxed, be sure to take some ibuprofin to reduce the inflammation.

well theres this thing at stores (i.e walgreens or cvs) i dont remember what its called but you can just ask a persont that works there. Eyebrow threading is something sooo much less painful than waxing.I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for about a year now.It only hurts a little bit the first time.it makes your eyes water a little but thats all. i recomend you get them threaded instead.it's basically a lady using string to thread your eyebrow hair off she puts part of the string in her mouth and then somehow pulls the eyebrow hair out.well hope i helped.

I use the aloe vera gel that you get for sunburns that has lidocaine in it. It works very well. I am very fair skinned . I am also a stylist of 25 yrs. The other thing you can do is have the cosmetologist waxing your brows apply a numbing lotion before that has aloe in it as well and some powder afterwards. But when you get home you can use my remedy along with a bit of ice, or cucumber that has been refrigerated.

Neutrogena face wash works. Eyebrow threading is when they use a thin thread to arch your brow, shaping them with the thread. My sis gets them done and she says it hurts worse than waxing. I'll stick to waxing

Just put some baby oil on it. Whenever I go to get them done, they put baby oil on my eyebrows. Seems to work haha.
