Can anyone give me a few interesting facts about silver for a science assignment? Silver as an element not jewelry..

How about it's earlier use in Photography. (you can reasearch that) and for example you can mention a common chem-lab chemical: AgNO3 which is clear but turns brown in contact with light.
I was doing a lab once, and I had forgotten this, so I didn't care that some of it spilled into my hand (my entire palm) and I ended up with a brown palm that lasted for weeks.
