The metal is a better conductor of heat so the heat will flow better into or out of your hand.

I believe it is because metal is a better conductor of heat than wood is. Which is to say, that the heat from your hand is absorbed into the metal faster than it is absorbed into the wood, making the metal feel colder.

Metals are good conductors of heat and wood is a bad conductor of heat.
When we touch a piece of metal, it continues to draw heat from our hand because the heat it draws from our hand is spread to all other portions of the metallic object, therefore the temperature of metal part in contact with our hand does not rise,it remains cold and feels colder as it continues to draw heat..

In case of wood ,the part in contact draws heat from hand but does not spread this heat to other portions. As it keeps the heat with it self its temperature rise and becomes equal to temperature of hand. Then heat conduction to wood stops because conduction is due to temperature difference. Hence wood does not feel colder

Metal is more conductive than wood. That means that it carries heat faster and more efficiently. When you touch something, metal or wood, the heat from your body is carried away creating the cold sensation. Since metal is a more efficient conductor of heat, it moves heat away from you faster, therefore creating a more intense cold sensation.

The metal has good conduction qualities and removes heat from your hand faster than wood because wood has poor heat conductivity.

Haha, Fio and fizixx are suited, it is the conductivity of the two, it is like alcohol poured on your hand will make your hand sense chilly, too plenty and your hand gets frostbite even however the alcohol (no do no longer pour the beer) is at room temp. steel merely conducts greater effective than wood, i think of it is because of the fact the atoms are greater tightly prevalent in steel and would vibrate properly or bypass capability surely. do no longer ya merely like it ~m~

because the metal is better conductor then wood
and so it absorbs heat fro your hand quickly.

because metal will hold the temp longer and most metals are naturally cold
