The Eiffel Tower is beautiful and romantic. The Statue of Liberty denotes our willingness to accept any and all who come to these shores. Love them both! Love the USA!

Which do I prefer? I'm an American, so I'd have to go with the Statue of Liberty, although both were designed by Frenchmen. I suppose the meaning of Liberty is more important to me than The Eiffel Tower, which is spectacular , but is,after all just a tower. Is that what you were asking?

The Statue of Liberty has so much more meaning. The Eiffel Tower is beautiful, but it didn't have the same emotional impact as did Lady Liberty to the millions of immigrants (and returning American G.I.'s) as they came into New York Harbor.
