Well no. There are two distinct types of radiation, ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation. First the difference is non-ionizing is a safe form of radiation. We see it in microwaves, TV signal, and radio. Now for the scary forms of ionizing of radiation. There are 4 sub-types of radiation: alpha, beta, gama, and neutron.

Alpha radiation, composed of the nuclei of helium-4 atoms. Which can be blocked by your skin or clothes or 3 inches of distance.

Beta radiation, consisting of energetic electrons or positrons. Can be blocked by glass, clothing or wood or 3-4 feet of distance.

Gamma radiation, which is high-energy electromagnetic waves. Lead shielding and concrete can stop gamma radiation, this is very deadly radiation.

Neutron radiation are neutrons expelled from unstable atoms. If you got hit with neutron radiation you would be dead before you could have blinked.

The main thing is that radiation travels in a straight line (no mater what) so unless you are completely behind a very large crystal then you will be hit with radiation. The crystalline matrix (how the atoms arrange themselves) really will not stop high energy radiation. I hope this helps

Yes, as long as the crystal is galena and the necklace is long enough to wrap your entire body with.
