The volume of a sphere is (4pi/3)*r^3
The radius r is, of course, half the diameter.
So the answer is (4pi/3)*(1.5dm)^3
or 4.5pi dm^3
which is approximately 14.137 dm^3.
It's pretty rare to use dm^3 as units, usually you see either cm^3 or m^3. But hey, they give the problem in dm, so I'd stick to using the same units that the problem does.

The formula for the volume of a sphere is (4/3) * (pi) * r^3, where r is the radius.
Since the diameter is 3, the radius would be 1.5.
So the volume of the spherical container would be...
(4/3) * (pi) * (1.5)^3, which is approximately 14.14 dm^3.

V = 4/3 pi r^3
r = 1/2 d = 1.5
Plug in to formula to find V.
BTW, a dm^3 (the unit for volume in this problem) is better known as a "liter". :-)

Its volume is 4/3 times pi times the cube of the radius. The radius is half of the diameter.
You should be able to figure it out from there.
