Anything done by Nora Roberts, Debbie Macomber or Barbara Delinsky. I love these writers. They are able to tell not just a love connection/story of two characters but a complete story of every character in the book. Know what I mean? Some writers cant make it flow very well but these two can. Here are some books by these authors that I would highly recommend.
Barbara Delinsky : Shades of Grace. She has written several books but this one is my favorite of hers. Its a love story....but so much more than that.
Dnaielle Steel : No Greater Love, Palimino and Star. Like Ms. Delinsky she has written many books but these three are my favs.
Nora Roberts : The Calhoun Women (Tilogy) : Courthing Catherine, A Man For Amanda, For The Love Of Lilah, Suzanne's Surrender and Megan's Mate.
Night Tales : Night Shift, Night Shadow, Night Shade, Night Smoke, and Night Shield.
Three Sisters (tilogy): Dance Upon the Air, Heaven and Earth and Face the Fire.
Irish Hearts (Trilogy): Irish Thoroughbred, Irish Rose and Irish Rebel.
Hope this helps you. I loved reading these books and hope that you will also. Let me know what you think of these as you get done reading them.

Nicholas Sparks writes great love stories. Unfortunately death seems to be a pattern at the end.
Some titles are:
A Walk to Remember
The Notebook
True Believer
At First Sight (sequel to TB)

I liked Gone with the Wind and the Anne of Green Gables series. I don't actually have many love stories on my book shelf, except for those two.
