Tell me about this whole Sanjaya thing on American Idol!?

If Sanjaya wins Simon will not quit so stop voting for him. He stinks so why is this stupid thing going on! Those websites and stuff, don't vote for the worst people like those websites are saying it won't get American Idol. STOP IT HE SUCKS!!!

OK, everybody take a deep breath and calm down. It is not the end of the world. I am Canadian so I can't vote, at least I don't think I can for the American Idol, however I watch it faithfully every week. I would not vote for Sanjaya. I think he has a pleasant voice but not to go any further. However, lets say that by some fluke he wins. It will be up to him to carry on from there. The ones who are good singers, like the top 3 tonight will probably make it anyway. But, don't get discouraged with the show just because of Sanjaya. This is really the only show that helps regular kids get a break into show business. Back in my day we had the show "American Bandstand", that is where many unknown started their careers and later became big names. I wish you could have seen Prince, or the Artist, whatever he calls himself today. He could hardly talk. Ann Margaret looked like a nervous wreck. And yet as time went on they developed and became very big performers. So, don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Vote as often as you can for the one you like, not just once. I voted for our Canadian Idol over a hundred times each night and so did my 80 yr old mother. Get off the computer and vote like heck for the good singers.

Sanjaya's situation seems to be similar to William Hung, times 10. In that respect, I don't think the majority of the votes are gags.

Personally, I don't like his singing, and his effeminate style turns me off. But that's just me.

This one girl's interview in the newspaper regarding Sanjaya indicated that she views general society to be no different from High School, where certain people are picked on and made fun of just because they're different. I think that's what it is. The same people who were not considered popular in school are latching onto Sanjaya and declaring him to be their champion. In other words, the more we bash Sanjaya, his supporters become more convinced that the "bullies" are picking on one of their own and then they rush to defend him by voting.

I don't think the kid can sing, but then again I'm not taking the time to vote. It doesn't mean that much to me. But Sanjaya's supporters have a thing to prove, and for them it's personal.

A guy made some website that people are going on. Its about how they want Sanjaya to win it because he stinks. Simon has threatend to leave the show if Sanjaya wins. Im SO mad that he made it tonight....4/4/07 and i just am SO FREAK-a-LEAKIN mad. I just hope he doesnt make it to much farther. I cant belive this. He was sopposed to leave like 5 weeks ago!!!! Its a season for no reason!

American Idol has run its course. It is time for the show to end. One way viewers can put an end to this show is to make sure the worst singer makes it as far as possible (Sanjaya as American Idol??).

So far, it looks as if millions of Americans agree that making a farce of this show is worth voting for Sanjaya.

I totally understand. The only reason why Gina left tonight was because of that stupid web site. I hate it. It is ruining the show and not making it as exciting. Luckily the best are still there, but what will happen when Malinda is kicked off? I hate Sanjaya and what is happening to the show1

With extra desirable than 6 million subscribers having signed up for Sirius satellite tv for pc, specifically as sheep to stick to Howard Stern to his new digs, Stern has all his little techniques-washed pinhead followers calling in to "that internet site" the place they vote for Sanjaya to win. The "skill" that Stern wields is satisfactorily undermining the authentic intentions of yankee Idol that's to have a winner whose skills outshines each and each of something. this isn't SanGAYa. that's a disaster interior the making for the manufacturers of yankee Idol and that's too undesirable there is not any longer some variety of regulation that Stern is breaking so this unethical (to declare the least) interest may be stopped until now the inevitible occurs...and that's.. Sangaya being declared the winner of this season's American Idol.

Hi, The only way Sanjaya is going to leave is if Howard Stern stops his campaign to keep him on the show. We should be boycotting his show and writing to tell him we are boycotting. Write or phone his advertisers and tell them you will boycott their products if Howard continues to sabotage American Idol. Remember, numbers speak.

LOL! I agree, but thats exactly why people are voting for the worst....to get on peoples nerves, and its working. Howard Stern on the radio is getting all of his listeners to vote for the worst, thats why hes not even in the bottom 3 every time. He does suck but its too late, hes already too popular, even if he doesnt win hes still going to be famouse. I think KFC is already giving him a deal of some sort. Hopefully its only his 15 minutes of fame. But who knows.

I love this thing you put on here!!! I was just about to! I don't want to bash Sanjaya because that is really harsh, but I say that you should vote for who you really think should win, don't vote for him for s&g (sorry, it's true) I'm sure he wants you to be honest, and I know that the rest of America wants you all to knock it all off!
