the allies were:
U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia

The Allies were a group of countries allied to fight their common enemies. The Axis was also a group of countries.
Axis: Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania, and Japan
Allies: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Indian Empire, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, and the United Kingdom (including the Crown Colonies).
This is just a partial list - more countries joined the Allies as the war progressed. More countries also left the Axis too.

allies= the U.S, England, and Russia, those are the major ones, there were more but they were insignificant.

axis=Germany, Japan, and Italy, Russia was originally part of the axis powers(nazi-soviet pact) but germany betrayed russia by invading the part of poland that was promised to the russians.
