You need a REALLY comfortable chair for nursing, most rockers/gliders are NOT. You want a chair with good lower back support, that you can lean back in. The BEST chair I used for nursing was my husbands tatty old recliner. The next best one was my grandmothers leather wing back chair. You would be MUCH better spending the money on a comfortable, non moving chair with a footstool or ottoman. It's a far more comfortable nursing arrangement! I have a beautiful timber glider chair that used to be my mothers that I love sitting in to read a book or knit, but it has never been comfortable to nurse in. It's not even a comfortable cuddling chair.

Glider. Most conventional rockers are stiff backed. I like a little cushion against my spine.

definately GLIDER chair
the traditional ones leave marks on hard wood floors and leave weird tacks on carpet floors.
plus.....i have always experienced better "rockness" out of the glider......babies fall sleep better too

Either... but if you have little kids, watch out for their fingers under a glider... ouch!
