leftwing (below) Sorry to hear. Do you want to share his name and/or the month he passed? If not, it is totally understandable.

dillinger (below) If reminding people of the dead equates to "being lame", I'm proud to be the lamest person on YA.

I think the people who have taken offense to this are turning this into a misinterpretation. Yes, there has been a sacrifice, but to what end? The liberals are the only one facing the facts. Putting US soldiers in the line of fire does not save the lives of US soldiers.

As an active duty soldier in Iraq, I take offense to this question. My friends have died over here, and I know we are here for a good reason. And look at you, a guy sitting safe at home, lecturing on how grim the losses are. This is just like WWII. We lost over 150,000 soldiers there, but no body had problems, but now, we fight, and when we lose a couple thousand, people get upset. Shape up, and join the Army.

And if you want to take a look at what these brave troops looked like, go to http://projects.washingtonpost.com/fallen/
Of course cons and especially this sorry adminstration don't see this in terms of lives lost, families destroyed or resources squandered. They see "The Big Picture", the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld pipe dream.
No wonder Bush won't go to funerals or allow photos of returning caskets to be shown. His shame is too great.
Naw, I take that back - the jerk has no shame.

Look at the post by those willing to serve in the armed forces for you - and then people have the nerve to give them a thumbs down just for saying so.
Thank you to all who have, do and will serve!

Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Take that however you want. When the **** hits the fan, who do you think will be saying, "I told ya so".

Id like to see the other one with thousands and thousands of Iraqis , just to get a proper scope of the true carnage being perpetrated over there . Not to mention the hundreds of thousands the sanctions imposed caused that children to die , that didn't even know they were Iraqi. Really a tragedy unrivaled in most of our lifetimes

Yes is insane.
The people of my country, who are American citizens, can't vote for the president of the US. At this moment 57 Puerto Ricans lost their life "defending" America.
Do you think is fair?
