NO!!! Lincoln never ever owned slave. He lived in Illinois which was a free state and not only didn't allow slavery, but people of African descent, for years, were not even allowed into the territory in the 1840s-1850s.
Now, Washington, Jefferson and Patrick Henry all owned slaves ... but Lincoln never ever did!

Lincoln never owned slaves. Some of the founding fathers did, not Lincoln.

No, He did however employ a few freemen as house help and a butler. If anyone has proof otherwise I would love to see it. Mary Todd's father owned slaves and offered some to the lincolns on the marriage but, Abe respectfully declined.

No, he believed all men were born free. Mary Todd Lincoln's family however did own slaves. Ironically she was originally from the south. That is why Northerners were suspicious of their first lady.

Doubtfully Lincoln was a Northerner and by his time the whole idea of slavery had all most completely subsided in the north.

No, he did not. I am not sure about his wife's family.
And also his father refused to own slaves as a religious Baptist, although Kentucky was then a state where slavery was allowed.

I believe he did growing up, his father had some but when he got older he freed his out of kindness and did not want to be in the middle of the abolition rites.
