I think they should make sure the toilet seat is up before they leave the bathroom since it is them that has to worry about sitting in urine.

Why are you people on here acting like men never have to sit on the toilet to do business....how come if men have to sit down on the toilet a lot they don't complain about the seat being up or down?
and what's this crap about going to the bathroom in the middle of the night?....you don't have lightbulbs in your bathroom?

Ok in the middle of the night a female goes into the bathroom, does not turn on the light, sits down, and well you figure it out

i'm male and am always complaining about my wife putting the seat down. i keep it up for a reason. geesh.

They are like the men. Sometimes there is not enough time to put it down. Besides it is polite to put it down when you are done. I have a question for you. What about some of us men who don't wash their hands after using the bathroom and/or flushing the toilet.
That is plain old nasty and unsanitary.

No we don't, especially in our own homes. It belongs down. Besides the underside is often nasty.
