By answereing this question I am NOT agreeing to your ABSURD accusation that I am a "Bush Implant".
As long as he does not talk policy with representatives of that governement he can go. Same applies to Pelosi and anyone else. My thoughts (not feelings, I think) are from my understanding of the Constitutiuon that the power to negotiate with Foreign countries rests in the Executive Branch not the Legislative branch no matter which party is currently the controlling power.

They have nothing to say, although Senator Specter is one of the more conscientious of Republicans ... if there were more like him, there might be hope for the Republican Party.
"Truthiness" is more than just a contemporary joke ... it is a whole new culture, cultivated by the right, to perpetuate their lies and self-serving agendas. That is anything but funny.
Even though Bush is at all time lows, never underestimate what the right is capable of. Never underestimate the depths they will sink to retain power and we will witness that during the 2006 midterms. Never underestimate the narrow-mindedness of the right. As someone said on these boards recently. "Ignorance is the disinfectant for truth."
If Bush's Poll numbers are crap, the right says the polling is flawed ... It is merely a spin of the liberal media.
Once no WMD's are found, the right says, it wasn't amount WMDs anyway ... it was about bringing democracy to IRAQ and that justifies the loss of 2300+ American lives and the Umpteen billion dollars spent.
If Bush twiddled his thumbs while an American city drowned, the right says ... it's the state and local government's responsibilty to rescue the people, not a function of the federal government.
That is scary, but that is not the horror. The horror is that the vast conservative minions swallow it totally without question or conscience. They follow blindly like lemmings as America is morphed into something that is but a shadow of it's former greatness. It would be OK and even amusing to watch the conservatives, their kids and their grandkids rot in the future they are creating.
Only thing is ... We live here also. This is our country and we have kids too.
Us Democrats are as proud as Hell that we take the fight directly to you Republicans each and every day on these message board and elsewhere. We are not going away and we will always be there in your face. We are the true patriots and defenders of this United States of America. Take this country back from the corrupt, the elite, the arrogant, and self-serving. Give it back to people.

I even have maintained that absent govt authority, somebody is over-stepping his Constitutional authority in appealing in international family members with a remote places state. it truly is somewhat-settled regulation that concerns of international family members are completely an govt capability. EDIT: it is not as much as Congress to step into diplomatic waters, regardless of the interest the President is doing.

I know what I think about it. He is a Senator, he isnt an Ambassador, he doesnt work for the State Department, he wasnt asked to go by them. So he has no business there.

It's all hypocrisy and politics. I hate to say it, but both Dems and Reps are guilty of framing a situation to best meet their needs.
