It has become so difficult for a Canadian Muslim to cross borders and function normally in society without ridiculous comments and accusations made against them. Whether it be in the United States or even our home country, Canada, people seem to view us as terrorists or some sort of evil.

Okay, for those of you who think we blow up innocent people let me tell you this: I am "a half Muslim half Christian" (however I follow Islam) teenager and I come from a two hard working parents who have been in this country since they were both teenagers. They pay taxes, they buy things and even go on trips to different countries and support their economies, so how are WE terrorists? It is not our fault that some random extremists decided to make a misguided and outrageoulsy terrible decision, which I complete agree was stupid and damaging. If you continue to think that it is our religion that is causing terrorism consider these two things:
1. Our "Bible", the Qur'an has a similar 10 commandments, which states thou shalt not kill, so those extremists are not abiding by our religion.
2. What about Hitler? He was all pro Christian and saying kill the Jews, does that make all Christians terrorists?

Another thing, if you want to say we are abusive to women, consider this: women wear hijabs and loose clothing (by their own choice) as a sign of uplifting. We are only protecting our selves from men looking at us with lust and nasty thoughts. Also, the odd occassion where a man is beating his wife, is it really him acting as a Muslim? I think not. In case you haven't noticed, men of ALL religions beat there wives, which is unfortunate.
