I knew a girl that gained 40 lbs in the 6 months after she started the depo shot, but if you are just gaining the weight after 2 years then it probably isn't the shot. Maybe you should get your thyroid checked.

i replaced into on the dep. shot for 3 years and that i did no longer benefit weight nor did I even have my classes in any respect which replaced right into a huge plus of being on the shot. i did no longer have any problems with it and as quickly as i ended taking it i grew to become pregnant in a year so i think of depo is the excellent beginning administration obtainable.the beginning administration shot is crucial approach of beginning administration. Over the path of one million year, fewer than 3 out of one hundred everyday couples who use the beginning administration shot each and every 3 months would have an unintended being pregnant. the prospect of having pregnant will strengthen in case you wait longer than 3 months to get carry of your next shot. frequently, how properly each and every sort of beginning administration approach works relies upon on assorted issues. those incorporate no count if a guy or woman has any medical situations or is taking any drugs that would desire to intrude with its use. It additionally relies upon on no count if the approach chosen is handy — and no count if the guy recalls to apply it properly continually.

I would never ever ever recommend anyone to take depo.

i was on it for four years and had weight gain, mood swings, and a whole lot of other things that I do not have anymore after getting OFF of depo and on Kariva (pill).

After five years you need a bone density check as it screws with your bone health.

I was on the depo shot a long time ago. (No longer on it and will never be on it again.)

I didn't gain weight but I did turn into the biggest ***** ever while on it. It really messed with my mood. I lost my sex drive. I was constantly on my period and there was nothing regular about it. At one point I was on my period for a month. It went away for about 2 weeks and then it was back for about 3 weeks. The depo shot was such a bad experience for me.

All birth control, whether be injections or pills will make you gain weight. Birth control is a hormone imitating pregnancy so you won't ovulate.
