pehaps you should attend the party to help your friend celebrate. then at a more appropiate time you can let your friend know how you felt about the lack of acknowledgement for your birthday. if your friend doesn't know you are boycotting the party to protest your hurt feelings than your spite is in vain. it'll probably just ruin your relationship and leave you with no one to "not celebrate" your next birthday with this year.

No, it does not be incorrect to flow with out bringing a contemporary. mutually as the birthday woman could perchance be slightly disenchanted if she will become conscious that your daughter did no longer carry a contemporary, it incredibly is not likely that the lack of ability of the present will linger in her understanding. although, there are any of quite a few the variety to offer a contemporary on your daughters buddy. a million. Make some thing your self including your daughter. a chew of paintings, compose slightly poetry, construct an exciting toy. 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds are quite ordinary to thrill. Even some thing so elementary as a birthday card could artwork. 2. fee Village or yet another sort of thrift keep. those places could have all varieties of exciting issues available for extremely inexpensive, on a similar time as low as 50 to twenty-5 cents. 3. in case you have any appearing expertise in besides, be it musical or some thing else, you are able to desire to rearrange a quick show for the buddy as area of the social gathering. 4. you are able to desire to provide a voucher. this could be redeemed for any of quite a few issues, from a definite picnic lunch to an invite to flow to a action picture at a later date (while your funds are a splash extra on purpose). Use your creativity.

I wouldn't avoid going unless you actually dread going. I mean, don't punish yourself if you WANT to go...just to spite your friend. I would honestly be tempted to avoid it myself, for the same reasons you want to. It really isn't fair for you to be slighted, and still be expected to participate...and YES it DOES hurt your feelings!
BUT...you could go and make a joke like..."Yeah, I see how you are. Blow MY birthday off but when yours comes around, we gotta celebrate!" Do it in a joking mannner so you're not attacking the person. Chances are, your friend will have a guilt trip and feel like an idiot.

my thing is to treat ppl how i want to be treated. it's probably not the easiest thing to do, but i do it most of the time. i would just be the better person and show them by going to their parties that you are the bigger person and a good friend.
