because teenagers who have nothing better to do and like this guy can text his vote as many times as they like, they sit up all night and do this where adults are really more conservative with the way they vote.

I don't watch the show. I have watched the last to times just to see what happens with this kid Sanjaya. I want to see him win. I will VOTE FOR SANJAYA.
Reasons.
1. It would be funny to see him win.
2. Simon gets annoyed.
3. The other contestants are not really that good. (Still he is not good at all but...)
4. It is boring if the anyone else wins.
5. If he wins there would be no more American Idol.
6. People get so annoyed. They are so into it. C'mon! It's only a show. People take it so seriously.
So, there u go. I believe it's people like me who are keeping Sanjaya on the show.

people like different things about him. leave him alone. this is his time to make things shine so let him have a little fun while he can. what is the big deal anyway? he is cute, sings well and has great hair and a precious smile. i could not stand chris sligh. i am glad he is gone now. next, lakisha jones needs to go and phil stacy needs to win for the man part and if a girl wins it this year, then i want gina glocksen or haley scarnato. also, i love chris richardson major. blake edwards is good too though. sanjaya is just a 17 year old guy who is having fun. when his time is done, then we will all move on and talk about something else. have a great night.

cause of that god damn girl that was crying a couple episodes ago. i personally think that he is a piece of crap.
ive also heard rumors that he is getting the votes from india or something (i know, weird). also, there was this yahoo thing that said that maybe american idol needs sanjaya more than sanjaya needs it.

Yeah! He sucks! Well, I can tell you why. Howard Stern is mocking American Idol, first of all, and telling all his fans to vote for Sanjaya. And then, there's this website called votefortheworst.com and on it, they tell their fans and people who go on there to vote for Sanjaya just to ruin the voting process.

He is still on there because not everyone who has the ability to dial or text a phone SHOULDN'T!!!
Also, I think American Idol should do like Dancing with the stars and limit how many calls you can make from a particular phone.

Why did Jerry Springer last as long as he did on Dancing with the Stars? What started out as a genuinely entertaining competition where talent was valued has become a freak show. We love to see losers get the moment in the spotlight (William Hung got three CDs?!?!). It's gotten so big that it's a joke, just like Dancing. That's what happens when Americans get the opportunity to vote *ahem*

because this season sucks, and nobody is watching anymore but the people who like Sanjaya. that's why he is still on. everybody else is to scared to hear his singing because they are afraid that their ears will bleed...
