What part of your breast hurts? The nipple or an area on the fleshy part or the whole breast? I know that when I go for mammograms, I'm not supposed to go unless I'm in the middle of my cycle. They told me that even at the end of the cycle, your breasts are still showing the effects of the hormonal changes from your period.

It could still be related to your period. I don't know if you are on the pill or not but if you are on the pill that can make the breasts very tender and hurt. It has to do with the hormones in the pill.

I have to wear a larger sized bra because my breasts get tender from being on the pill.

Hormones. Your cycle... either before or after or being pregnant. But you already said you aren't... right. Because there are some ladies that still have a period when they are pregnant. I don't know how though.

Just hormone fluxes. I know some months my breasts hurt more than in other months. I wouldn't worry too much, unless you start getting discharge from your nipples, or something else seems highly unusual.

1) PMS
2) Hormones
3) Bruised
4) Others I don't know about

I DO know that breast cancer doesn't hurt, so don't worry about that. I would just chalk it up to hormones. :-)

that could be why= you may have hit yourself against something as well=if you ha vent had a mammogram before it would be worth the time to get it done
