Since i am white and asking this why is it just a matter of time until some avatar posing as a ethinic person will call me dumb for asking the question, can some one have 400 years of suppressed white guilt if they are 14? Why should modern day whites, who are in no way racist, feel guilty?

White guilt is a feeling of shame felt by Whites because of their ancestors treatment of blacks and other minorities. I do not believe that that a white person should feel guilty because of what their ancestors did, instead they should look at their ancestors prejudices and try to avoid recommitting them. We learn from our parents mistakes, this makes us better people, there is no ned to be ashamed, one must be proud that you have made the right choice..in this case..the choice not to be prejudiced against any ethnic group

Um, you just answered your own question. It's the feeling of guilt that a white person is made to feel because of the actions and ideals of his forefathers. It is brought upon by the persistent existence of anti-white feelings by other races for our misdoings as well as our "success" in the past and present . Believe it or not, racism has taken an ironic turn in the opposite direction: that is to say, anti-race feelings stem more strongly against white people for their manifestations/success than any other race. The culture that has enjoyed the most dominance now receives the most hatred and has to tread the lightest of anyone. This paradox of contemporary racism is a bi-product of the kick-@$$ U.S.A. that we ALL built together, and doesn't really bother me too much as a white boy. It does, however, embody and perpetrate "white guilt" in today's world.

White guilt = affirmative action and other forms of institutionalized discrimination. It has spawned the Cult of Diversity. I don't know what exactly caused it, but it's ironic in just about every way. First of all, those whites who truly feel guilty are doing so on behalf of the perpetrators of the misdeeds. This is illogical because they did nothing wrong themselves. It's also ironic because those who perpetrated the misdeeds did so (at the time) with a clean conscience. It's also strange in that you have to be a bit tilted to freely give up control of what you have, not in the name of equality, but by actually creating a system of inequality with you yourself at the short end of the stick.

The only way to a balanced future is through equality, self-determination, an end to the welfare cycle.

White guilt is what liberal whites feel because very few white southern business men owned slaves.

Entitlement is what Blacks think about government help.
