I want those postal stickers. Am I going to get in trouble or something if I just walk into the post office and take the whole stack?

Sounds like you have something planned that is going to cause some costs and problems for a number of people.

1) Printed matter cost money to develop and produce and it is intended for specific uses. Not your free use. So if you use it inappropriately that cost has to be absorbed by everyone else.
2) If you must have that look, take one each and go run copies at your own expense. You will get the same effect but at your expense.
3) If you feel you are creating art with them, then do that art on a canvas or board that you purchase, not on someone's wall. A wall that will need to have expensive labor and cleaning; Pay for by someone else.
4) And if your art turns out wonderful you can always give it as gifts or sell to interested purchasers.

This information from a collage artist who uses lots of fun collections....not misappropriated stolen materials.

why dont you just ask for them(they will give them to you if you ask nicely) and get a few at each postal office..then they would be free and you wouldnt get in trouble that way.

If you're going to use them to deface private or public property maybe you should find another pastime or get a job.
