when i turn it on the fan runs loud and nothing shows up on my monitor. i tried replacing the power supply, reseading all cords, hooking up a new monitor w/new coord and removing all dust. it still does the same thing. if someone could help i would greatly appreciat it

It sounds like 4 things
1.)Loose memory in socket
To fix check memory stick are firmly in socket
2.) Bad Processor
To fix replace processor.
3.) Bad Hard drive
To Fix replace harddrive
4.)Short on motherboard
To fix replace the motherboard

Hi. Do you see a BIOS screen? If no then something bad is wrong. If yes you may have a hard drive or OS problem. Try booting from CD with your install CD. Or have someone download and burn a BARTPE disk and boot from that.

You probably have a virus and can try booting up with a Norton Anti-Virus CD. When booting up put in the Norton CD and when you hear the cd-rom making the "reading disc" noise press down or 2 on your keyboard and press "Enter".

sounds like its coming on from what you said, and could be a number of things but i would suspect its your video card.

2 thing u can do
1st clean up ur RAM or increse it size
2nd check ur H.D.
