I am concerned over the second ammendment right to bare arms. Please argue in a logical format the reasons for or against firearms. This website is a petition to prevent a further invasion of rights...the first assault weapon ban is nothing compared to this one...You won't be able to purchase any kind of guns except for bolt action rifles, six shooters, and severly restricted shotguns...some other weapons also like hand guns or rifles that don't have the ability to accept magazines over ten rounds and shotguns over five shells etc.

the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT be infringed. In the constitution, the PEOPLE always refers to individual citizens. There is ONLY ONE possible meaning to the 2nd amendment.

For the record, ANY weapon that have the ability to accept a 10 round magazine, have the ability to accept an extended magazine. That is another way the ban is more restrictive than it appears.

The fact is, contrary to the opinions expressed here, the government does have the right to confiscate your guns. Now whether there will ever be a majority of congress that is willing to do that I seriously doubt. But as far as the constitutional right afforded by the Second Amendment, the Supreme Court has only ruled on the issue in one case back in the 1940s and they did not find that the Amendment gave a private right to own guns. In any event, the Second Amendment only applies to Federal Government. unlike the numerous other rights found in the Bill of Rights that have been incorporated by the Due Process clause of the 14th Amendment as applying to the states, the courts have never held that the second amendment applies to the state. So even if you could make an argument that the Federal Government cannot take away your guns, there is nothing (except democracy and an elected majority that wants people to have guns) preventing state governments from banning private firearms. Take a look at Washington D.C. No firearms allowed.

My concern with the government taking the citizens firearms is they will be the only ones with firearms. The people who have the best artillery is the ones who control the world. It seems like laws are being made that weaken the people every day. One of the reason that Iraq was invaded was because the president of the corporation , claimed that they could do harm to the rest of the world with the artillery that they supposedly had. Now it seems to me that they are slaves to the Masters. (Corporations).Democracy means government gives you rights and your unalienable rights are stolen. We need are weapons because that is too much control for corporation to dictate what the people shall have. Read the Constutition . Question Should the people have the right to ban the firearms that the government have?

permit me initiate by ability of announcing that I even have hand weapons, and a pistol permit to hold a hid weapon. I even have self belief that a guy or woman has the wonderful to very own firearms, yet I additionally agree that a guy or woman has somewhat no prefer for an AK-40 seven, M-sixteen or the different weapon like that, that has the flexibility of being became into an entire computerized weapon, with a minor modification. the prefer for the conventional hunter wanting armor piercing bullets additionally leaves me dumb based. A weapon of any variety that has the flexibility of retaining 50 rounds in a mag additionally leaves me scratching my head. I even have heard the previous tale, that if "we" enable the government to limit one variety of weapon, then it truly is going to likely be lots much less complicated to limit all types. which will in no way take place and the conventional public with any style of basic experience might agree.

there is no arguement here. our second ammendment will always provide a citizen a firearm if they so desire, unless of course they have been convicted of a felony. that petition is a waste of time and it just isnt gonna happen. just one more thing to get citizens all torn up. dont sweat it. u.s. citizens will always have the right to bare arms even if you do it under the license of a "gun collector". where there is a will, there is a way.

Not at all. If law abiding citizens can't have arms, then only the criminals will have them. I should be able to defend myself.

I really don't get the gun control laws - all they do is make the law abiding wait a little longer, or limit what we can purchase. They do nothing to stop the people who really want them for the wrong reasons.

No, the right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED, period. Given the original intent of the Second Amendment, the people at large should be at least as well-armed as the government itself if not more so.

If you're concerned about it then you don't want to vote for Hitlary. The one thing she wants is to take our rights away from us.
