When I was young, I was afraid to tell my mom too. I ended up borrowing one from a friend the first time I used one. Loved it! Great invention, eh? Just begin by telling your mom that you think pads are uncomfortable, especially during sports(if you play any). Then say you really prefer tampons, they're much better! She's not going to care. She prolly just assumes you aren't ready for tampons or you just like pads. Clue her in.

Just straight out tell her your not comfortable wearing pads, and want to try using tampons. Its not that big of a deal. Chances are she will just tell you to use hers next time you have your period, or take you to find some that you maybe might like more. I hate pads myself the feeling is nasty.

I don't know how old you are but your age (depending on what it is) she may think you are too young for them. I would recommend talking to her about this issue and why you would prefer to wear tampons.

I didn't start wearing tampons til after I was 18 years old. My mom wasn't too thrilled about me using tampons either when I first started using them. One of her thoughts was that I would lose my virginity which of course was not true. I'm still a virgin. The word "virgin" means different things in different cultures and countries but the medical definition of the word is that of someone who has never had sexual activity.

I am now 35 years old and still a virgin.

But pls talk to your mom, she may understand better than you think.

I no longer wear tampons due to medical issues not related to tampons.

Just sit her down and explain how comfortable you are in tampons because I know they are feel much better than pads. Next time run out of pads on purpose and tell her you just had to use one of her tampons. Then, tell her much you like them.

I personally don't like tampons but would like to start using them so I don't have to deal with the discomfort of bloddy pads. I know if I wanted to switch I could ask my mom and she would say what ever makes you feel more cofortable. Just ask her! Hope I helped.

my mom was anti-tampon too! she didnt like them and she thought they werent as clean so i never got to actually use a tampon till this year and i turned 17 this year lol.

Just say "mom summers coming and all so i want to try using tampons my friends use them and they say its not that bad" when i went grocery shopping i brought a small box of them and then she bought it and so on.

The same way that you tell her anything else. By talking.

Oh, and since you've been using her tampons, you should also buy a package for her, to replace them.

Just tell her that the pads arent working anymore and dont offer much and you feel like its going to leak. She really wont care at all.

I thought my mom would freak out when she found out I was using tampons too! She probably won't care, so you should just tell her.
