the following we pass with the actor stuff back. to make sparkling this, conservatives don't have a mission with an counseled actor operating their mouths. it really is the Sean Penn's and Rosie Odonnell's who between them have an IQ equivalent of a third grader; then the media props them up and televises their each and every imbecile feedback as if they have some thing to assert of fee. All they ought to do is call Bush an fool and they without delay grow to be political experts. Then they'll do an interview: Why did you're saying the president is an fool? because he's murdered...and on 9/11... on and on. the point is: Fred Thompson is a former senator/lawyer/statesman. the actual incontrovertible fact that he's likewise a valuable actor merely skill it is an fairly proficient guy. he will easily win the Republican nomination.

"think he's exactly what this country needs right now . A nearly impeccable man who would garner all the Republican votes and many of the moderate Democrat's votes !!"
Based on what?
I mean tell me what his record is, I know he appears on a TV show now, but what was his accomplishments in the House the brief time he was there?

I think he is wise to wait. Let all this venom spew early on--don't waste a lot of money too early--then announce. For those who don't know-Fred was a Senator prior to becoming an actor....He is a politician--a good solid conservative/moderate to boot. Here is a link to his voting record:

I DO like Fred!

I really think Senator Thompson is a great potential candidate but I think he is waiting till later this year to explore this and set up his team since he has been out of the political environment for awhile.

I thought he already did. He has a lot of catching up to do if he has any chance of getting the Republican nomination let alone the grand prize itself.

I agree - I like what I see.
I want to know more about his experience and temperament (character) as well as his politics.
I also heard that he has "flirted" with running for higher office before and didn't follow through. Tennessee governor or something.

He'd be crazy if he did - no seal of approval from John Dobson. - The Arbiter of Those Who Shall Be Anointed By The Fundie Coalition.

Yeah. Just what we need.
Another anti-choice Republican with his head in the sand. Aren't there enough of them running already?

Hopefully never. The US still hasn't fully recovered from the last time an actor became president.
