Yes, Paul Hogan went to my High School.
Not Hoges, the Australian comedian/actor but Paul Hogan (P.J. Hogan) the Aussie director.
He directed Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz in "My Best Friend's Wedding", Toni Collette in "Muriels Wedding" and worked on "How To Make An American Quilt".
A home-grown celebrity.

The town right next to me has Jim Carrey, and Timmins (a wee bit north of me) has Shania Twain. Mike Myers is also a little south (Scarbrough).
The only one from my town is Lester B. Pearson. He won a Noble Peace Prize and was Prime Minister of Canada. But no big "celebrities"

Lots but then I come from a big town. I'm now in a small village and I very much doubt anyone here is a celebrity - the next village has a TV actor in it but he's not a huge star or anything.

I live in a suburb of Pittsburgh and know that Winger/Whitesnake Guitarist. Reb Beach lived and grew up here. But he now lives in Fox Chapel. I Ghuess he hated this town to. LOL.
