Here is the situation in the question I posted yesterday:

You will need to read that before understanding what this new question is about.

Okay, so we had a lot of support. People sported the slogan "Freedom of Religion". The thing is, those of us who did (most of us anyway), got in trouble. I however did not get caught so I do not know what the consequences were. I know that some people were sent to the office for wearing the slogan and got in trouble... all we were doing was supporting a slogan for a peaceful protest. we had no vulgar words or profanity on our clothing or notebooks or whatever. we were just innocently wearing the slogan.
therefore, was it right for the school to punish those who wore the slogan "Freedom of Religion"?

This really is turning out to be a HUGE issue at my school.

I'd say if you didn't get caught, you weren't protesting effectively. The situation you describe is EXACTLY what the first amendment was written for. The school is wrong in both decisions.

BTW, I disagree with the answer above. I support school uniforms. But , that has nothing to do with the question.

the college can't punish in ordinary terms for meerly having a Wiccan e book. the key is you is probably no longer attentive to the whole tale. that's available that he replaced into quite suspended for having yet another merchandise or for some thing written interior the e book including a Columbine like plan to kill different pupils. yet whilst the case is he replaced into suspended for only having a e book then he has a declare to have the suspension reversed.

The school should have NO PART in deciding what a student can wear as long as:

-It is decent
-it doesn't start fights
-is not racist

I hate political correctness.
