ive had my 2 first dwarf puffers for one day now, i fed them at 9:00 pm last night and 8:00 am this morning. they still wont eat i guess they are nervous. one moves a little during the day but at night it zips up and down the tank and explores. the tank is 22 degrees celsius, is it to cold maybe? thank you anything helps. im sorry if i dont dont thank you but im still new and have no idea how to use this site :)

They are probably still stressed from being moved into a new tank. Give them a while and they should start eating.

They like a lot of plants in their tank, so if you don't have any, you might want to put some in for a place where they can hide if they feel threatened.

The water would be a little cool for them at 22C. It would be better if you could raise it a few degrees.

What are you feeding them? Puffers are carniviors and do best on a live food diet. If you are feeding them flakes then they arnt going to accept it, they wont accept most things unless it's live. (Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, Vinegar Eels, ect. You could also try feeder fish if they are big enough to eat them.) They also need crunchy things (Like Shrimps) because they have teeth that constantly grow and need crunchy foods to trim them.

no they are not nocturnal.They are active in the day & sleeping in the night.
