i need to replace a LAN card in a computer that is no longer running. i need to find a site that has a tutorial for replacing them!

Make sure the network card (NIC) that you're referring to is actually a "card". Newer PC's built in the last 5 years typically have the NIC integrated on the motherboard. If that's the case in your situation, you won't be able to replace it. Instead, you would have to add a new PCI card for the network.

But if it is a card, of course all you have to do is take the screw out that's keeping it mounted to the case and pull the card out of the slot. Then simply insert the replacement card and mount it with a screw. That's it!

Also, are you sure that the NIC is the problem? In the last 10 years, I've probably only seen a handful go out. It's quite rare.

No tutorial necessary.
The directions come with the LAN card software. It will be either install the software before or after the card.

The card can go in in any slot.

Its so easy its mind-blowing. All you do is take the old one out, and put the new one in.
