Dominions 3. fantastic medieval strategy warfare game. supports windows, max, linux but its written on linux. There are some real advantages to playing it on linux. Especially if you want to host the games.
Oh yeah, it does cost to buy it (not to play it). But even on my windows machines its lived for years compared to buying/deleting in a month for other games about the same price
