When does facial hair for males stop growing? I mean, what is the general age when you've got as much facial hair on your face as you're ever gonna get?

I'm 20 and I get alot in the sideburn area, a little bit on my chin and patchy growth under my chin but none on my upper lip or on my cheeks.

Is this as much as I'll probably ever get or is there still time?

Where it is now is probably where you will end up getting most of it for the rest of your life. Think of all the shaving you do NOT have to do, and be happy!!

Facial hair is really variable. One of my friends had a full beard at 15; another is 26 and is still patchy. But, those are extremes. I'd say, though, that there's probably still time. I was in almost the exact same "beard boat" as you when I was 20 - my sideburns came in fine, but the rest was patchy (or just not there). It took another three or four years, but the rest of my beard did eventually come in. Hell, I actually had it shagged out "Yukon Pete" style when I was 25. So, I'd say don't worry; your beard will show up, it's just taking its time.

Possibly you are done, lots of guys are patchy, depends on your ancestry. Look at uncles, brothers, and dad and see what beard they have. If they all have heavy beards, maybe you are just late--but not likely. Hairy guys tend to get hair growth faster and thicker than those with little hair.

Well, facial hair never stops growing. I would say that the area where facial hair is present now is the only area where you will grow hair. Your done with puberty, and that determines it.
