flames painted on cars; any color, any car?

It's like I'M planning on doing it (LOL). I just think it looks rather... flashy for my taste. Different strokes, though.

Um guys, TRUST ME ON THIS ONE: I'm not thinking of doing this to MY car. I just happened to see this black lowered thing with purple flames on it today, and thought "Wow, that's very unattractive." I see a lot of "flamey" cars and I was just curious!

I think it's o.k. for car shows, race cars, and Low Rider magazines, but they don't seem very logical in the real world. I think it would be a little too distracting if a teacher was to pull at the school with a "burning" Mercedes. But flames on cars can be seen as very creative and as a reflection of one's personal style, and overall I like it.

Hey, you watched Grease the Movie? There were flames painted on one or both cars used in the driving match between the T-Birds and Scorpions. Doesn't really mean much.

i guess flames give out different warm colors which can look wild n sexy ...
btw cold flame can give a wonderful look a combo of hot n cool..
but it makes a lot of different of how it is made n where it's place..how bout on the roof of the car rather than just the sides(sides is pretty usual)...ppl from buildings or any top can notice it

I'm personally not really a big fan of them. It' seems a bit childish or kind of like a toy car in my opinion. If that's the look that you're going for, then it'll work. I wouldn't do it though.

It's nice. But there is a fine line between gotti and cool. Simplistic with a bit of daring color...that's the key!
