u could put on an oil cooler, but i doubt they make em for ninja's. or u could add a different mix of anti-freeze. heavy stop and go traffic is very hard on all bikes especially the air cooled ones.

you don't say what "hot" is. the answers above are right - all sport bikes run "hot" in stop and go traffic. you are supposed to GO not stop. Seriously - when does your fan come on? most bikes electric fans won't turn on until about 220 degrees - which is ok. the system is under pressure and won't boil until about 250. what should happen with bike stopped is to go up to about 220 and the fan come on and then the temp slowly come down to about 210 or so and then the fan will turn off again. if the fan is not coming on you got a problem with that. make sure radiator is not blocked by bugs and debris.

Pretty much, yes. Kawasakis are notoriously "cold-blooded" and don't run very smooth until they get hot. Once warmed up, every Kawi I know of is a little on the warm side.
My SV650 liked to be around 170-180 degrees, but my Kawi ZZR600 runs best when it's closer to 200 and the fan doesn't kick on until it hits 215.

If somebody has ever dumped the different variety or chemical variety of antifreeze interior the cooling gadget different than the producing facility Ford style, ultimately that's going to plug-up your cooling gadget. substitute the electrical powered coolant temperature sensor interior the engine cooling gadget. If the sensor is undesirable the sign to the sprint gauge is truthfully no longer maximum appropriate. I prefer green motor vehicle human beings such because of fact the 1st man or woman who spoke back your question had different issues to do with their time. The water-pump quite turns much less stressful whilst the coolant circulates interior the direction of the heater-middle and radiator. whilst coolant circulates by a cooling gadget there is not any amperage load on the alternator! The serpentine belt is the only mechanical drag on the crankshaft. whilst all or any electric upload-ons are used interior the motor vehicle the amperage load on the alternator makes it turn harder.

Ninjas weren't designed to run in stop & go traffic. Of course it's gonna get hot. All sportbikes are like that.

Mine does exactly the same in stop & go traffic. It's normal.
I try and avoid that kind of traffic though...but not because the bike heats up.
