My computer is running slow. And all I can get out of it is "web proxy not configured" when i go to my device manager to see if it is the modem. I can surf the web but it is alot slower almost like im on dial up service. when i try to go to internet explorer it says page not found. Any help would be much appreciated.

check Internet options in control panel > under the connections tab > click LAN settings > unchecked any check boxes, like proxies...auto detect settings....user configuration script...there should not be any thing checked.
If you computer is running slow and it has ran a lot better in the past I would also check for spy ware and viruses...and also you can consult a computer repair professional and your ISP....depending on you Operating system and Isp there are various settings and things you can do to try to repair or at least diagnose the problem

Sounds like your provider changed a setting. I think you'll need to call them. A proxy error is usually their fault.

control panel, internet connections. Check to see if you are on Lan, and not on dial up.
