You can't fix it. If you still have a Ipod Mini, then it's probably about time to replace it. The Ipod uses a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, and loses it's charge over time. The battery is non-replaceable. My advice to you is to purchase a Ipod Nano or Ipod Video that has equal or more GB storage that your Ipod Mini has. With the current generation of Ipod's there is a battery replacement program avaliable where you can send in your Ipod and Apple will replace your Ipod's battery.

go to apple.com or a apple store.

and tell them you need to purchase a new battery for your ipod mini. they cost around 40 bucks. they will replace it for you. then it will be new again. the battery will that is.
